GILANGNEWS.COM – Gelaran Grammy Awards yang baru saja berlangsung, bisa dibilang menghadirkan segudang cerita unik. Dipandu oleh pembawa acara James Corden, ajang ke-59 ini turut menghadirkan penampilan menggugah dari sederet musisi papan atas seperti Adele, Katy Perry Bruno Mars, hingga yang bergenre cadas seperti Metallica.

Rapper pendatang baru Chance the Rapper berhasil memboyong sejumlah penghargaan seperti Best New Artist dan Best Rap Album. Atas torehan cemerlangnya, ia mengucap terima kasih kepada Tuhan, orang tua, serta daerah asalnya, Chicago.

"Kuakui, kemenangan ini hadir atas nama Tuhan. Aku ingin mengucapkan terima kasih kepada-Nya untuk ayah dan ibuku yang selalu mendukung sejak masih kecil, serta seluruh warga di Chicago," ujar Chance the Rapper, yang dilansir dari NME.

David Bowie, yang meninggal pada 2016 lalu akibat penyakit kanker, mampu berjaya di atas panggung Grammy Awards 2017 tadi. Ia memboyong penghargaan untuk nominasi Best Rock Album, Best Rock Performance, dan Best Recording Package.

Seperti yang telah tertulis di atas, penampilan Grammys ke-59 turut menghadirkan penampilan seru. Hal itu dapat dilihat saat ikon pop Lady Gaga berkolaborasi dengan dedengkot metal legendaris Metallica, sampai aksi anti-Trump yang ditunjukkan Katy Perry saat beraksi di atas panggung.
